Mooloolaba

January 17, 2016 by David

The popularity of this destination can be attributed to the fact that the beach has great weather all year round, and is just about the perfect location to unwind. It is not uncommon to see families vacationing, solo travellers taking up surfing classes and even pensioners sipping sangria by the beach, happy to enjoy their sunset years. The friendly community at the beach is also one of the reasons why visitors keep streaming in to Mooloolaba.

This beach is best known for its safe swimming waters, and so there is no better way to start your vacation than to take a dip in the crystal clear waters to cool off. The beaches are patrolled, so you can rest assured about your safety. Alternatively, go sailing for Mooloolaba, making sure you enjoy the stunning views afforded by the sail. Many people go sailing at sunset in order to soak in the majestic beauty of the sun as it sets in the horizon, casting beautiful images on the waters.

Diversity is one of the key selling points for attractions at Mooloolaba. What better way to experience this diversity than to indulge in a culinary journey where your taste buds will take on the gastronomic adventure of a lifetime? Most restaurants use fresh produce sourced locally, so you can be certain that you are not only enjoying a delectable meal, you are also taking in nutritious meals.

Sample fresh seafood at The Spit, or take on international cuisine at The Wharf Complex for an amazing and rich experience in the culinary field. First Avenue and Brisbane Road have, in recent years, carved a niche for themselves as the home of culinary adventure if the eclectic mix of hotels, cafes and restaurants is anything to go by. Do not pass the chance to visit the alfresco dining area that is tucked away at the Mooloolaba Esplanade.

Mooloolaba is home to some of the most exciting events in Queensland’s events calendar. Look out for scheduled events on the official website and simply settle for what tickles your fancy. Accommodation at the beach is as diverse as the number of travellers. There are motels that offer budget packages, opulent resorts that cater for luxurious travelers and just about everything in between.

The best thing about traveling to Mooloolaba is the ease of access. This exciting journey for sun, sand and sea lovers is made possible by road, by train and by air. As with any other trip, you are advised to make plans well in advance. The good news is that Mooloolaba has fair weather all year round, something that makes it easily accessible for many visitors.
